General Terms & Conditions
-To be eligible to rent and operate a vehicle, the renter and any additional authorized driver must be at least 23 years old and have possessed a valid driver’s license for no less than two (2) years immediately preceding the rental date. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the refusal or termination of the rental agreement without liability to the rental company.
-Delivered car can differ from reserved car in terms of color and model, but will never be a downgrade.
-ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE: CALL 9247 or +5999 465 0896
-Maximum Excess: € 700,- or US$ 750,-.
-Maximum Excess to be paid in full if new damage is concluded when returning the car. US$ 750.- to be paid regardless of the nature of the new damage(s) (Even with a small damage cost add up quickly because of loss of turnover, labor and depreciation).
-Fuel tank = 100%. Please return the car with the tank completely filled back again
-(Super, Yellow Pump). If not 100% filled back a penalty fee is applicable of US$25 plus per ¼ tank US$20 fee.
-Unlimited mileage
-In the event of any damage>, DO NOT MOVE THE CAR and call Forensys at +59994613282
-Not following this procedure will result in a payable fee of US$ 300
-If, following an accident, collision, impact, or any other incident that has caused or may have caused damage to the vehicle, the Renter continues to drive or otherwise use the vehicle without first consulting Cura Explore and/or contacting ForenSys as instructed, the Renter shall be fully liable for any additional or consequential damage resulting from the continued use of the vehicle. Such additional or consequential damage shall not be covered by the rental insurance or limited to the applicable deductible and will be charged in full to the Renter
-In the event of loss, misplacement, or failure to return the vehicle key, Cura Explore reserves the right to charge the renter a replacement fee of USD 550.
-Traffic from the RIGHT has NO priority> TRAFFIC FROM RIGHT HAS NO PRIORITY
-Please note that roads are very slippery when wet. Do not go OFF ROAD with the rental car
-Don’t leave any belongings in the car while away from the car. No insurance coverage if you leave valuables visible in the car.
-When returning from the beach in wet bathing suit/clothes, please place towels on the seats, before taking place in the car
-When new (salt) stains are visible, the customer is responsible for paying $50/90 NAF.
-During the delivery of the car existing damage will be shown and the car will be checked on further unnoticed damages. If those are noticed, they will be added to the existing damages. This will also include the state of the interior. Client will sign for the current state of the car.
-Current condition of the car will be filled on online damage waiver and by pick-up used as reference.
-In case of a flat tire>, please replace the tire yourself or call the “Wegenwacht” roadside assistance service at +5999 465 0896. It is your responsibility to have the flat tire repaired as soon as possible.
-Please contact our Customer Care Center for information where to get the tire fixed. The costs of fixing the tire will be paid by Tenant. If not, we are forced to charge you a fine of US$ 125.-
-The rental car insurance is not valid in Punda, Otrabanda and Pietermaai areas unless the car is parked
-in a (free) parking garage at Renaissance Hotel or City Suites, or behind a closed private fence
-Please note that a 5% processing fee will be applied to payments made by credit card or Mastercard/Visa debit card due to banking charges.
This fee does not apply to payments made in cash or with a standard debit card.
–Other General Rental Terms and Conditions:
The renter has read and understood the following terms and conditions. The renter must know how to operate the rented car. The renter must have a valid driver’s license. Only the renter is permitted to operate the car. The car must be treated and driven as if it were the renter’s own car. The renter is solely liable for any costs, damage, or injuries sustained by the car’s occupants. The renter is solely liable for any costs, damage, or theft of property left or stored in the car. If the car is left unlocked, the renter is fully responsible for all damages. (Towing) Costs and damages incurred due to lost keys, a dead battery (e.g., leaving the lights on while the car is off), or off-roading will be payable by the renter if Wegenwacht cannot assist you. Not included in the rental insurance: Damage to or punctures of tires and windows. Insurance is not valid if the driver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Insurance is not valid if anyone other than the customer is driving the vehicle. In the event of an applicable deductible and/or damages, the deductible and/or damages must be paid before leaving the island of Curaçao. If the car is returned with excessive dirt, sand, or stains, a cleaning fee of US$50 will be charged. Smoking is not permitted in the car; if smoking occurs, a cleaning fee of US$250 will be charged. Filling the tank with diesel will result in $750 in damages to the car, payable by the renter.
In order to make a reservation we require a downpayment of 50% of the rental amount. Downpayment of 50% needs to be done within 48 hours after making the reservation to secure the reservation.
-If you cancel up to 5 days before the start of the rental we charge US$160,- cancellation costs
-If you cancel between 5 days and 24 hours before the start of the rental period we charge US$300,-
-If you cancel within 24 hours before the start of the rental period or if you don’t pick up the car, you will be charged the full rental amount.
Refund Policy:
-Refunds are applicable when renter cancels his/her reservation but already (partly) prepaid the booking.
-After cancellation refund will be executed within 5 working days (minus cancellation cost).
